| now—why the ditch?

| since i own a free account over at wordpress, and owning a free account over at wordpress in 2022 apparently means having your blog space hijacked by obnoxious sponsored content popping up all over. aka, a bunch of thumbnails strung together (and mostly produced by asian foot fetishists as far as i'm concerned *eyerolls*). you, as the blog owner, has no say whatsoever in the content appearing through your pages.

| i mean... to a certain extent, i don't really mind a bit of publicity here and there. i'm not paying and i'm using your service. fine. that's fair. but this is a whole new level: the kind of content either outright weird/gross/shocking just to get people to click.

| am i going to pay yearly (and of keep paying yearly) so my content does not get mixed up amongst intrusive so-called sponsored content? HELL. NUHHHHH.

| 7 years and a half years of my life i shared over at wordpress and invested time to. 1348 entries from 2014 to now. all the while staying up to date with their changes and sh*t. ugggh. & of course i pondered at length whether or not i would bother transferring my old entries on here.....

| i'm aware that there are ways to do it automatically but upon testing with a sample i didn't like the result very much. so, whatever. i am NOT going to manually fix HTML crap on over 1,000 entries. i'm crazy, just not that crazy.
