FRIDAY 19TH; ok. first real cold day we've had this winter—one of these things you can undoubtedly confirm when you walk outside 15-20 minutes to reach your destination + another 15-20 to get back. as previously uncovered earlier in the season, those cute red & black "waterproof" boots i bought a while back at maxi are a complete disaster. could've/should've predicted my toes would be half-frozen once i reached the mall. yikes! might be getting those later cuz they're too cute. after making a couple purchases and getting back home, shortly had to get my ass back outside to pick up my food order (since i'm too cheap to pay for the $4 delivery fee): pizza was free from my reward coupons, yassss! & poutine w/ bbq whiskey sauce was a rad discovery. one of my evening purchases: sometimes the clothes in the men section of winners make the bestest jammies. 🙌💙

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 30TH; another visit from eryn for her b-day—hurraayyyy. she got to my place right on scheduled time, alas, we couldn't take off to montreal right away after she noticed a piece from under her car dragging to the ground in the front. yes, that truly did happen. HAHA. damn!!! after unsuccessfully trying to find a car repair shop open during the holidays, our saving grace would end up being dollarama with their zip ties. gladly, this temporary fix worked out! & so we were off.....an hour late departure. ⚠️ montreal reserved parking with branches all over! ⚠️ making our way towards paradise piercing... cuz yes, apparently i NEEDED to swap my jewerly again after 3 days. haha. i became too curious about the look of having the scorpio labret sitting into my lower conch—even if that meant losing one of my healed piercing holes since there wouldn't be enough space. *weeps* but i didn't have an appointment this time around and it was slightly chaotic in there: suggested to eryn that she should get her 2nd lobes pierced and i'd pay for most of it as a b-day gift. she agreed and then we had to wait a bit. post getting all of my swapping done (which is all hidden into this picture but OH WHATEVAAAA! 😂): it was eryn's turn. woohoo. then super tight on schedule, off to laval... right on time for our 5:30pm tickets @ illumi: well. we certainly froze our dang fingers off taking photographs. HA! but it was a worthwhile experience. not to mention just in time to visit before they closed for good on january 7th. enjoyed it a lot more than the lanterns at the botanical garden! only main negative point is i'd say all of the visible wires on the ground. that.....yeah. otherwise pretty magical. especially loved the "crazy cat lady" space! *smirk*
