live! cyndi!

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16TH;
after years and years my t-shirt finally found its goal in life:
cuz... CONCERT NIGHT! & ready to go!!
getting to see cyndi lauper live at long last, weeeeheeeeeee.
eryn came to pick me up after i was done with work. headed off to the bus terminal since she didn't want the hassle of driving up to montreal this time around. surprise surprise..... 7pm bus never shows up—or does to drop off passengers and immediately proceeds to ditch everyone (??! *shrug* guess we'll never find out). turns out we had the take the next bus which was a whole other hour later bearing in mind opening act would begin their set at that time. now—it was our intention all along to skip opening act, but getting to montreal at 9pm would be a really close call for main act. %#$&#&$&.
bus ordeal took so damn long that even though having a pee break was the last thing i'd done prior to leave home, i started getting the urge (ya know) only about 10-15 minutes into the bus ride. OHMYGAWWWWWWWWD. seriously. i doubt i have EVER needed to pee SO BAD. don't even have the words to properly explain it. i kept my legs as tight-tight-tight as i could but at some point i really started to doubt whether or not i'd physically be able to hold it. in my mind i could only foresee two scenarios: 1) holding it in as strong as i almighty could for the next 45 mins or so at the risk of having my bladder explode = avoiding the shame, 2) simply surrender = not having my bladder explode however facing the atrocious humiliation in a bus half packed of people + not being to able to attend the show w/ soiled pants. yo, is it what 44 yrs old is supposed to feel like?? do i need "depends" at this point? can bladders actually burst? so many darn questions...!
end of story: i did manage to hold it in until reaching the first restroom upon arrival. how??!!!?! i still have noooo clue. got to the venue, they scanned our tix, paid for a little souvenir, found our seats half in the dark then BOOOOM. freakin'-show-time. it was rather demented.
i still can't she's 71 years old. 71 YEARS OLD. !!!!!! that's utterly insane. show was amazing and i'm so glad i've been able to attend, especially given the fact that it's a farewell tour. 💛💛💛
what a mcdonald's feels like after a cyndi lauper gig:
